It is in Dinard, along the Prieuré bay and opposite that of Saint-Malo, that the Castelbrac hotel opened its doors in June 2015. Benefiting from an exceptional location, the hotel is located in the heart of buildings steeped in history. First of all a villa built by the English Faber family, the house was transformed into a marine research center and an aquarium in 1934 by Commander Charcot. The whole was renovated to be transformed into a hotel while retaining its soul. The result is elegant and the image of a luxury where beauty is queen but never ostentatious. Visit in images of a hotel located in the heart of the Brittany coast, with unique strength.

Modern and authentic decor

Hôtel Castelbrac From the lobby, the hotel is marked by modern decoration (brick and gray velvet armchairs, metal and marble tables) which does not, however, erase the soul of the building. The columns are covered with 1930s mosaics. The curtains are also reminiscent of the twentieth spirit with their exotic patterns of banana leaves when the sconces, halfway between art deco and marine look, combine refined elegance in the space.

The aquarium bar

Hôtel Castelbrac The aquarium bar was decorated by Sandra Benhamou, who wanted to recreate the charm of this old aquarium (open to the public from 1934 to 1992) in a twenties spirit and using mosaics in metallic colors, like scales. Some elements, such as the 1930 entrance door and the columns, have been preserved and restored while others, such as the mosaic on the ground, have been redone identically, to keep the authenticity of the place intact.

A restaurant with a dream view

Hôtel Castelbrac The aquarium terrace offers an exceptional view of the sea and the Solidor Tower in Saint-Malo. You can enjoy a menu prepared for lunch with local and seasonal products by chef Julien Hennote.

The discretion of luxury

Hôtel Castelbrac The 25 rooms and suites of the hotel installed in three buildings, all have a sea view. The facilities are upscale and some have terraces. We love the decoration adapted to each space, both sober and singularly elegant.

Sea view for the rooms

Hôtel Castelbrac In the prestige room with sea view, there is a decoration marked by the design of the 50s. The two large black metal sconces are inscribed with character on a graphic wallpaper with plant motifs. The notes of colors, also from a fifties palette, bring cheerfulness to the room with finesse.

Room with terrace and view

Hôtel Castelbrac In the spacious Prestige rooms with a terrace of around 35m², we appreciate the volumes and of course the terrace which offers an exceptional panorama over the bay of St Malo. Some, like here, have a very designed bathtub open to the bedroom, while others have a large walk-in shower. We love this mixture of contemporary design and retro notes that transforms the room into a real cocoon.

A suite where luxury and natural beauty are one

Hôtel Castelbrac In the Prestige suite with terrace, you will find all the luxury of this charming hotel: a 46m² space with a cozy and warm lounge area, a 50m² terrace with breathtaking views of the Vicomté and Solidor bays and the ramparts of Saint Malo and a bathroom made of marble with shower and bathtub. On the decor side, we really like the very soft tones of blue and green, which blend with the palettes of gray, chosen to dress this suite.

A Brittany bath

Hôtel Castelbrac The sublime swimming pool of the hotel fits perfectly into the Breton landscape. Located below a stone wall, it unfolds lengthwise, like a swimming corridor, and invites you to take advantage of the exceptional view over the Priory Bay. For a dip in the heart of northern Brittany!

A Spa for the body and the eyes

Hôtel Castelbrac Among the services offered by the hotel, there is the Spa Suite by Thémaé which offers tea-based treatments. A well-being space which is obviously conceived with an impregnable sea view, as beautiful in good weather as in winter, when the water is agitated with force.
