Bright and clever, a duplex like a family home

Bright and clever, a duplex like a family home

When the architects Eitan Hammer and Ulli Heckmann join forces on the same project, they transform two apartments in the 16th arrondissement of Paris into a comfortable maisonette for a family with three children. On the program of their realization: space, brightness and practicality to visit in images to dream and inspire you.

A functional and aesthetic kitchen

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer Place minimalism in the kitchen so as to remain consistent with the fully open space. Storage and accessories are hidden in imposing cupboards and only the sink top and a central wooden island remain visible, bringing warmth and warmth to the room. The dining area has been installed nearby for more convenience but also to create a space where the whole family can meet.

A practical entrance

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer The owners wanted as much storage as possible. The architects therefore fulfilled their wish by optimizing each space. Thus the entrance offers furniture hidden in the walls to maximize storage in all discretion.

Toilets that take advantage of space

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer Nestled in a corner of the house, the toilets optimize the space and create a feeling of intimacy. Reminder of the entrance, the color of the walls brings elegance and blends perfectly with the wood of the furniture.

An optimized staircase

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer The staircase that joins the two apartments is spacious and comfortable with wide steps and a beautiful wooden railing. The architects have hidden in the wall of the landing a large storage space that can accommodate washing machine and dryer. A great way to offer a place dedicated to laundry without cluttering the bathroom.

Practical and decorative storage

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer Storage is omnipresent along the stairs with beautiful shelves serving as a library. The storage spaces are thus invisible from the living room but give life to the staircase.

A spacious master suite

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer Comfortable and bright, the parental suite offers a semi-open bathroom delimited by a partition which receives the basins. The room thus benefits from an exceptional luminosity thanks to large windows while offering a feeling of intimacy with a warm parquet floor.

A full bathroom

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer In the master bathroom, the space is optimized in style. Thus, the toilets are installed on the side just like the dressing room, part in its own right that knows how to remain discreet.

A room between interior and exterior

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer As for the sleeping area, the room is exceptional thanks to the rounded, fully glazed facade to offer a feeling of space that opens onto the balcony, incredible brightness. A room that wants to be simple and functional to take advantage of the superb architecture.

A space open to the outside

David Boureau / Ulli Heckmann, Eitan Hammer The whole house is open to the outside thanks to a beautiful striped balcony landscaped by Urban Green so as to forget that the duplex is in town and to transform it into a veritable little house. More info on Eitan Hammer and Ulli Heckmann
